Dr Martens celebrates 50th anniversary

Tough-looking, overworked work boots have been the default off-duty shoes for the hip, young, Agyness Deyn set for the past couple of seasons, and nothing some-more so than the iconic Dr Martens, that celebrates the 50th anniversary this year.

The dad of all work boots, "DMs" were initial grown in Germany by Klaus Martens, and done in Northampton, in the UK, in 1960.

They took on a some-more fashionable, anarchic corner in the Seventies and Eighties, anticipating foster with punks, skinheads and New Wavers, who wore them with biker jackets, jeans - and signature sneer.
