He is due to fight Australian Katsidis for the world title that Mexican Juan Manuel Marquez is expected to relinquish and both camps have been in talks about staging the fight.
Unbeaten Mitchells promoter Frank Warren wants the fight in London but Katsidiss manager Brendon Smith claims the venue will be decided by who wins the purse bid.
Smith said: ;Mitchell reminds me a lot of Michael and I believe he would have no problem to come down to our backyard if he has to fight for a world title.
